EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Justin Oldfield

Justin Oldfield serves as the Executive Director of the California Cattle Council and was appointed to serve in this capacity shortly following the Council’s formation. As Executive Director, Oldfield is responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the organization, Council projects, contractors and oversees the implementation of the Council’s strategic plan developed and adopted by the board.

Oldfield comes to the organization with considerable experience and was most recently the Vice President of Government Relations for the California Cattlemen’s Association serving as the organization’s lead lobbyist at the State Capitol, Congress and federal and state regulatory agencies.

Agriculture, cattle production and the success of the Council is not a job but a passion. Justin and his wife Julia are the second generation to carry on their family business and own and operate a diversified farming and ranching operation in Elk Grove that includes beef cattle, nursery stock, wine grapes, hay and thoroughbred racehorses. Justin graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a B.A. in Government.
